past perfect

I haven't lived a perfect life. I have regrets.
- Kevin Costner

I knew he was not in his perfect wits.
- Wm. Shakespeare (Angelo in A Comedy of Errors V, 1)

Now let's look at the past perfect.
When we talk about something that happened in the past we sometimes want to refer back to something that happened before that time. We can use the past perfect tense (had + past participle) to do this. The past perfect usually deals with more than one event, for example, "I had saved the document before the computer crashed" or " When they arrived  we had already started cooking". Look here for more info.
Watch this hilarious sketch and write three sentences based on it in the past perfect. Make them like this "The man had been sitting on the bench when Mr Bean arrived".

Now look at these words in the cloud and make 2 sentences from them (hint they are in the past perfect tense).
